Five Levels of Leadership by John Maxwell

Five Levels of Leadership by John Maxwell (2013). This books describes different levels of leadership in a managerial context. At the lower level of leadership people follow you because they have to, but they don’t necessarily like you. When they like you, then you are in a new level in which people follow you because they want to. A higher level is when people follow you because of what you have done for the organization. When people follow you because of what you have done for them personally, then you are at an even higher level. Here you grow and train people, develop a team-dream and place them and equip them correctly. You value your team and prioritize the development of people. You want to train people to train people. The final level is when people follow because of who you are and what you represent. Bring your people to this level with you.

You really need to care, like and love people. DO IT. High achievers care about people as well about profits. High achievers give advice. To connect with people you need to communicate with people. Help them, encourage them. Increase the personal value of other people. When people like you, they will follow you.
