The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins (2015). This is a pretty good psychological novel. I am quite delighted that I picked this one at the second hand book store. It is about Rachel, a woman that has found in alcohol a way to cope with her broken life and marriage. The history is very good and original and I will not tell too much of it in these few lines, because I hope more people will read this book. But, in addition to the really good history, I think what I like the most about this book is how Hawkins is able to communicate deep emotions. Some passages are so personal and private that it almost feels like I am peeking into the life of someone else. I read quiet and motionless because I don’t want to let Rachel know I read everything she did. Highly recommended.
