The Martian by Andy Weir. This book is fantastic. Is the best fiction I’ve read in many years. Although it is clearly not a masterpiece of literature, the ideas, contents and emotions coming out from the author’s mind are pure genius. Reading this book kept me awake, daydreaming for hours. I would recommend to anyone to read this book. The plot of the book is about astronaut Mark Watney castaway on Mars. By a terrible accident, he is left behind all alone on Mars and he has to resort to his knowledge and skills to survive with very limited supplies and equipment in the hostile martian environment. It is astonishing what the value of a single human life is and how Mark’s adventure moves all sorts of scientific and political forces on Earth. Reading this book is a mesmerizing experience.
